Questions
The ones we are
asked most often.
You're based in Bromley — do you only collect from Bromley itself?
No. The catchment runs to Beckenham, Orpington, Chislehurst, Penge, West Wickham, and Bickley as standard. Same-day collection from any of those, no premium. We will quote pickups from a wider radius on request — there is no penalty for being a few miles outside the named catchment.
Why does the brand emphasise Bromley as the origin?
Because the move starts at your front door. Naming the origin matters when the SE London side of the move is the part most household removers underplay. We send the same crew from quote to delivery and the lorry leaves Bromley with one driver who stays with the load to the destination — no relay, no port handover.
What countries do you cover?
Ten supported European countries: France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg. Five have dedicated route briefs on this site (France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium). The other five are quoted in writing on request — the crew, the insurance, and the customs handling are identical, the dedicated page just hasn't been written yet.
Are you fully insured?
Yes. Goods-in-transit cover for the whole journey, from the morning the lorry loads in Bromley to the moment your contents are unloaded at the destination. Higher cover is available on request for art, instruments, or single high-value pieces; the specific limits applicable to your move are stated in the written quote.
Do you handle customs paperwork after Brexit?
End-to-end. The UK export declaration before the lorry leaves the country, the destination import declaration on arrival, and the transfer-of-residence relief application where you qualify (which removes the import VAT for genuine relocations). You provide your passport, proof of destination address, and a signed inventory; we file the paperwork.
How long has the move taken in the past?
Each route has its own rhythm. Channel runs to France or Belgium are tighter; Iberian and Italian runs are longer because the lorry crosses more of Europe and clears one or two more borders. Your written quote will include an estimated window once the route, departure date, and access at both ends are confirmed.
How does pricing work?
A written quote covers the whole job — collection, transit, customs, delivery, insurance, and any storage on either side that we have agreed in advance. The number we quote is the number you pay; we do not show up on the day with a higher invoice. Specific figures are sent in writing rather than published on the site, because every move is genuinely different and a headline figure tends to mislead more visitors than it helps.
How do we book?
Photos and a brief, sent through the quote form on this site or by email. We respond promptly — often the same morning — and arrange a home visit if the move warrants one. A booking is confirmed when the deposit clears and the dates are agreed in writing.
