The quote

A Bromley Removals quote is fixed for the validity period stated on the quote document itself. It includes everything described in writing — transit, customs documentation, insurance, and any agreed storage on either end. If the move scope changes after the survey, we issue a revised quote in writing before any change is locked in. We never invoice for changes that have not been agreed.

Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed when the deposit clears and the quote has been accepted in writing. The balance is invoiced ahead of pickup; the specific schedule is on your booking contract. Payment is by bank transfer; we do not accept cash on the day. Late payment may delay your move date.

Cancellation

The cancellation window and refund schedule are stated explicitly on your booking contract. Cancellations may forfeit the deposit. We may cancel only in cases of force majeure (severe weather, ferry suspension, customs closure) and will refund all monies paid in such cases or rebook at no extra charge, at your discretion.

Insurance

All Bromley Removals moves include goods-in-transit insurance across the whole journey, including agreed storage. The applicable cover limit is stated on your written quote. Higher cover is available on request. Claims must be reported in writing within the claims window stated on your booking contract; we will guide you through the process. Pre-existing damage and items packed by the client are excluded from cover unless specifically agreed in writing.

Customs

We prepare and submit export and import documentation on your behalf. You remain the legal exporter and importer of your goods and are responsible for the truthfulness of the inventory you supply us. Any duty or tax assessed by the destination country is your liability; we will pay it on your behalf where we can and invoice it to you.

Items we will not move

Cash, jewellery, securities, controlled drugs, perishable goods, firearms, and items contrary to the laws of the destination country. The full list is provided with your quote.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
