The studio
A small SE London
removals studio.
Bromley Removals is a small studio operating from the SE London borough that gives the brand its name. We move households from Bromley and its neighbouring boroughs — Beckenham, Orpington, Chislehurst, Penge, West Wickham, Bickley — to ten supported European countries. The catchment is bounded; the destinations are bounded; the crew are the same people who load the lorry and unload it again.
We do not run a national branch network. We do not employ a marketing department. We do not subcontract the cross-channel transit to a partner haulier. The lorry that leaves Bromley with your contents is our lorry; the driver who pulls away from your front door is the driver who pulls up at the destination. The continuity costs more on the spreadsheet and saves more in the actual move.
We chose ten European countries deliberately. Five — France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium — have route briefs on this site because the inbound demand from the SE London catchment justifies the depth. The other five — Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg — we run on the same basis but quote in writing on request rather than publishing a bespoke brief. The work is the same; only the marketing surface differs.
We do not move to other European countries on speculative request. We do not do same-day quotes from a phone call. We do not pretend that a first-floor flat in Beckenham is the same job as a four-bedroom Edwardian property in Bickley, even when they are both heading to Provence. The quote is bespoke and written in full; the number we send is the number you pay; the move is run by people who care that it is run well.
How we run a move
Six steps. Considered, not theatrical.
-
01
A conversation, in writing
You send photos and an inventory through the form. We read it the morning it arrives and reply with the questions that need clarifying. Substantive, not template.
-
02
A home visit, where it warrants one
For larger or unusual moves, the partner who quotes the job comes to the house. Not a sales visit; a survey. The same person stays with the move through to delivery.
-
03
A written quote
A single fixed figure that covers transit, customs, insurance, and any agreed storage on either side. The number we quote is the number you pay.
-
04
Booking and the deposit
Deposit on bank transfer; the booking confirmation is a written contract with the dates, the route, and the inclusions stated explicitly.
-
05
The move itself
The same crew load the lorry in Bromley and unload it at the destination. Daily updates during the transit. Customs paperwork filed on both ends.
-
06
Delivery and aftercare
Rooms set up, beds reassembled where requested, packaging removed. The partner who quoted is reachable for the week after the move.
