Office removals
in Bromley.

Office removals are a smaller but consistent part of the studio's daily work. SME relocations from the operators around Bromley South, Beckenham High Street, East Croydon, Catford, and Lewisham Centre — typically 5 to 75 desks, single-floor to small multi-floor occupations. Commercial removals Bromley, out-of-hours moves where the brief requires minimal downtime, IT-equipment crating for transit. The same crew that handle the household work handle the office relocations; the survey and the written quote are run on the same basis.

Scope of the service

SME work, run properly.

The standard office removal we are asked to quote is an SME relocation — anywhere from a five-desk operator above a Bromley South high-street shop to a forty-desk multi-floor occupation in the small-office complexes around East Croydon, Catford, or the Lewisham Centre redevelopment. The brief is usually time-critical: the office needs to be operational at the new address on Monday morning, the load window is a Friday evening through Saturday, and the IT equipment needs to be moved without the network downtime running into the working week. We organise the move around that constraint.

Larger relocations — multi-floor corporate moves, fit-outs above a hundred desks, anything with a project-managed phased programme — are quoted on the same basis with a written project plan. The partner who quotes the job runs the project from survey through to closure. Specialist data-centre relocations, trading-floor moves, and laboratory equipment relocations are outside the standard service; we can refer those on where appropriate rather than overpromise.

What is included

A walkthrough of the existing fit-out and the destination address. Inventory of furniture, IT, archive, and any specialist items. Agreed schedule worked into the written project plan.

No. 02

Crating for IT and sensitive equipment

Server, monitor, workstation, and printer crates with anti-static lining where the kit requires it. Numbered bag-and-tag for the desk-level cable and peripheral inventory.

No. 03

Desks, pedestals, screens, meeting tables, storage cabinets. Manufacturer-specific work coordinated with the original fitter where the warranty requires it.

No. 04

Friday-evening load and Sunday unload is the standard SME brief. Weekend, overnight, and evening windows agreed at the booking stage with the building manager at both addresses.

No. 05

Archive and document transit

Boxed archive moved on the same lorry as the office contents. Secure transit and a clear chain of custody for sensitive document inventories.

No. 06

Disposal of redundant fit-out

Where the move is to a smaller footprint and existing furniture is being disposed of, we route usable contents through the charity collection schemes and dispose of the rest under a licensed waste carrier registration.

How a commercial move runs

A short project, project-managed.

The brief arrives — typically via the office manager or operations lead. We arrange a site survey, walk the existing fit-out and the destination address, and write a project plan that lists the desk count, the IT inventory, the archive volume, the furniture disassembly schedule, and the load and unload windows. The plan is agreed in writing alongside the fixed-figure quote. The deposit confirms the dates.

On the load day the crew arrive at the agreed window, the building manager has cleared the loading bay and the lift, and the load runs to the plan. IT equipment is crated and labelled; furniture is disassembled; the archive is boxed and inventoried. The lorry transits to the new address and the unload runs in reverse — furniture reassembled, IT crates placed by department, archive shelved. Monday morning the office is operational; the IT team reconnect the network from a configuration that was switched off forty-eight hours earlier in the same arrangement at the old address.

Pricing follows the same logic as the house removals service — cubic metres of contents, distance, access, packing scope, and any storage on either side. There is no headline rate on the site. The written quote is a single fixed figure with the project plan attached. The figure on the quote is the figure on the invoice.

Questions

Common questions about office removals.

What size of office relocation do you handle?
Small and mid-sized — SME relocations from a single floor up to a small multi-floor occupation. Typically 5 to 75 desks; up to about 1,200 square metres of fit-out. Larger corporate floor-plate relocations are quoted on the same basis with a longer project plan; specialist data-centre or trading-floor moves are outside the standard service.
Can you run an out-of-hours move so the office is operational on Monday morning?
Routinely. The standard brief for an office relocation is a Friday-evening load and a Sunday unload at the new address, with IT equipment crated for transit and reconnected by the customer's in-house team or external contractor on Monday morning. Weekend, evening, and overnight windows are all standard work. The crew, the lorry, and the schedule are agreed at the booking stage.
Do you crate IT equipment for transit?
Yes. Server, monitor, and workstation crates with anti-static lining for sensitive equipment; cable-management trays for tidy reconnection; numbered bag-and-tag for the desk-level kit. We do not reconnect the network — that is for the customer's IT team or specialist contractor — but the equipment arrives at the new address in the same condition it left.
Do you dismantle and reassemble office furniture?
Standard work. Desks, pedestals, screens, meeting tables, storage cabinets. Where the existing fit-out is by a specific manufacturer (Herman Miller, Vitra, Steelcase, the bespoke fitter, etc.) we can usually disassemble in line with the manufacturer's pattern; specialist reassembly contracts run by the manufacturer can be coordinated with rather than replaced by the studio.
Which areas do you cover for office relocations?
Across SE London, the Bromley BR-postcode catchment, Croydon, Lewisham, and the Kent border. Office relocations from the small operators around Beckenham, East Croydon, Catford, Bromley South, and the Lewisham Centre stations are routine. Out of the catchment we will quote on request — the longer drive is the only material difference.
